Anti Stress and Pro-Nutrition

I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in year 2000.  Since then I have studied hundreds of books and articles on nutrition, especially for insulin resistance, diabetes, and metabolic syndrome.  Because of the current worldwide healthcare crises concerning nutrition, I decided I should go back to school to become a certified nutritionist, specializing in orthomolecular nutrition for weight loss, insulin resistance, pre-diabetes, diabetes, metabolic syndrome, and cardiovascular disease.  I’ve also developed an interest in orthomolecular nutrition for psychiatry - healing the brain with nutrition.

Orthomolecular nutrition emphasizes the use of foods, supplemental vitamins, minerals, enzymes, and other accessory factors in amounts that are higher than those recommended by the government sponsored “dietary allowances.”  Orthomolecular nutrition is employed to treat illnesses that are not considered traditional deficiency diseases.  The major emphasis on nutrition and nutrients sets orthomolecular nutritionists apart from other types of nutritionists who focus on minimum daily requirements and meal planning.

The main objective in my practice of orthomolecular nutrition is to educate you about nutrition, not just give you a meal plan or diet with no education about what’s good and what’s bad, and why. 
The best way to treat a nutritional disease is with nutrition, instead of toxic drugs that just mask the symptoms and leave the cause untreated. There is no cure for type 2 diabetes, unless you change what’s causing it – poor diet and lack of exercise.
